Hi,

I am attempting to put a home theater in my basement and have been trying to figure out how to run the wiring from the front of the room to the back of the room. The basement is on concrete, so I obviously can't go underneath. The carpet is pretty low stuff, so I can't go under that either.

A friend of mine recently recommended using WireTracks (www.wiretracks.com). It is a wiring channel that replaces the wallboard. One part of it attaches to the framing and the other attached to baseboard.

Is this a good solution? Are there other solutions that are better? From a carpentry perspective, is this an acceptable way to attach baseboard?

Thanks,
Dave
