In the winter our sump pump will kick on, but it gets stuck on and will not shut off by itself. We tried spraying the switch on top of the pump withWD-40(which sometimes works). Is there any other product to spray on this switch so it will quit sticking during the cold weather? It seems like we have this problem in the winter and any other time the sump pump hasn't been in operation for awhile.

DJ: Spray on lubricants have a tendency to evaporate quickly, try 3 in 1 oil or automotive grease if you have any.
