installed a new shower valve. the water supplied to it is by 1/2" cpvc. shower riser and tub spout are copper. All glued or sweated fittings did not leak. My problem is all four of the male threaded fittings to female valve have small leaks! I used teflon tape on the two male copper threads and pipe "dope" on the two male cpvc supply threads. I was careful not to overtighten cpvc fittings for obvious reasons, but, is it a tightening problem or something else? ANY help greatly appreciated. Mike

Gee, no takers huh? Well, you know what they say, when you want something done right, do it yourself...twice. For anyone who cares, all four fittings needed more tightening. Those buggers really need to be snug! And, I did not use the pipe dope this time around. Finding that it's not only messy, but doesn't quite work as well as teflon tape (at least when working with water)
