oil fired domestic water /baseboard heat
I really need help, I have a two story home ,Two zone downstairs heats fine, turn up thermostat and hear motor start, upstairs thermostat can see blue spark when turned up and hear click , but no motor starts and no heat. These are in two separate gray honeywell boxes attached to boiler.I live in Maine with two little girls and we are cold unless downstairs;not to speak of oil going thur trying to heat whole house by turning thermostat up to 90 downstairs.I just had boiler cleaned and new nozzle and baseboards bleed for more than i could afford, so could really use help. thanks
Check the water pressure in the boiler. It should be 15-20 pounds PSI Is there 2 pumps or 2 zone valves and 1 pump I'm assuming two pumps If there the big red ones B&G check to make sure they come on, and the couplings are tight. If there the little green ones, listen to the pump with an ear or stethoscope for a whirrrrrr. Make sure all switches are on too. C.
