Have friends in the New Orleans area who will be removing up to four feet of flooded drywall and insulation behind.

Does anyone have any tips on how to how to trim or otherwise prepare the edge of top half of the remaining drywall to result in a seamless finish? I assume you have to bevel cut the drywall an inch or two to create room to lay the tape...if so is there a tool to do that?

Thanks for any advice,
