Two years ago the previous owner of my house had a new roof installed by a very reputable company locally....composition roofing material. As I live in a hillside area the roof is visible from the street. Can I add decorative rock or gravel to hide the comp- material? The roof is a shallow gable. Thanks for any input.

The road to you-know-where is paved with good intentions. Do NOT add anything to your roof that was not intended to be on it, as you will have the Murphy law kick in (you know, the one regarding unforseen consequences). If you don't like the appearance, call back the same reputable company that did the original installation, and ask their opinion. If they are as good as you imply, they will tell you honestly what your options are. I am assuming the roof works fine and that you are not having any problems with it, other than appearance.

Thanks...Im very cognizant of not disturbing what is existing, with that being said Id like to change the "look". The most obvious consideration is the weight of whatever is applied. I will call the roofing company if necessary but thought maybe someone had an idea. Thanks Again........erik
