Howdy all,

Just tore into our 1940's bathroom and found out the mosaic-style floor tile (a hideous mint/yellow combo) is laid over a 4" thick concrete subfloor. YIKES!

Is there any way to lay my brand new ceramic tile over the old? The existing floor is level and has no major cracks or gaps.

If so, is there sanding involved? Special etching chemical? Certain type of adhesive?

Any help is sincerely appreciated.
