I bought a house almost 2 years ago, had a lavender tub! I had it reglazed white and it looks perfect! They even put some anti skid material in the bottom. They guarantee it for 5 years. If you do get a little chip in it (that is caused by you), you can use appliance paint to touch it up! I love mine, it's shiny and is well worth the cost.

hey, thank you, that is what I needed to know.

I have read that they sand it down to the end, and then triple enamel it.

Is there anything I should look for them to do?

thx, again,

Martin

Hi Martin, honestly, I didn't even ask them about the procedure. I do believe he prepped the surface before doing the glazing. He sealed up the bathroom, ran a huge vent/fan out of the window and made lots of noise with whatever machine he was using. The smell was strong for awhile. When he was done, there was no residue or dust in the bathroom. He had on protective gear. Wish I had some better info, but if you check into it I'm sure they will tell you what they do. Mine is guaranteed for 5 years against peeling, chipping, etc. (unless I drop a hammer in it!!) It's been over a year since I had it done. I am very happy with it. The company that did mine has been around for quite some time and have advertised bathtub reglazing for a long time. I would check their guarantee and maybe get some references of other customers so you can see how they liked it. Good luck if you do it!
