I've got an older Dolmar chain saw. One of the studs that holds the bar in place once it's been tensioned seems to be stripping in the body of the saw. I am wondering if it would work to use a helicoil in the hole. One possibility if the metal is too thin to drill oversized would be to put in a coil that would fit the current hole and just use a smaller stud. This has, by-the-way, been an incredible saw and when it's done I'm going to replace it with another Dolmar, but I'd rather not do that right now.
