I need to buy a Palm Nailer (electric)for my deck building project. In terms of operation, I was told that you load a single (1) nail in the chamber of the Palm Nailer and squeeze the trigger. I have called a bunch of places (Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, and a local hardware store) and no one has heard of such a tool.
Does anyone know of such tool?

Yeah, there are lots of palm nailers out there both at Home Depot, Lowes or any other major chain the confusion that you might have gotten is that they are not electric they are Pneumatic. I wouldn't suggest them though, they are very limited and don't save you that much time gong one nail at a time. Spend the extra money and get a actual framing nailer.
Like canuckel-meister was so adeptly saying you'll not find an electric palm, they are pneumatic, which mean they use compressed air.
For a deck the palm it is an excellent tool, especially if you can't afford the specialized gun that will shoot into the connectors small holes.
But.. don't expect to drive 3"+ (10d) hot dipped galvanized nails with it, the new wire nails have such a small gauge typically 14 that you can't even drive them in with a hammer. They'll bend, no matter how much of a pro you are, the newer smaller shank with a zinc coating bends trying to nail it through a 2x.
It's turned into a nail gun world out here, you have to have the equipment - the palm is only good for the Tycho nails (hanger type #10 typically)and at that I'm finding Simpson or the like specialized structural nails are equivalent.
So, in my humble opinion of course... don't buy a 50# box of galv. nails and think you are going to build a deck with them, they are so thin now they won't drive through wood.
Ah, the old days when you could drive a nail with a hammer is slowy becoming nostalgic. Sorry I have to go ice pack my wrist now....
