is there a way to put up crown molding without doing miter cuts? I have heard that there are corner pieces that can be used, if so where can these pieces be founf?

Any carpenter basically can cut you the corners... some of the home owner conglomerates carry them, but do it yourself it's much more rewarding.
Plus those corners are extremely difficult to get lined up and not look like a patch... unless you are referring to the corner blocks, which in my humble opinion look uuuugly!
Go to my crown tutorial on my construction site and cut your crown using the "in position" method, it is the easiest to grasp quickly.
