You will see the traditional white or even an off white most of the time but I have seen gray as well.

If this is unpainted brick you need to go to a Paint Store to be sure you get the correct primer and topcoat system. Do not let this scare you as brick holds paint very well and you can go a long while between paint jobs, and I think painted brick gives a house a good look.
