I need to buy hardwood floors for my house, and the price I'm getting from Brazilian Direct is about 40% less than the lowest price I can find from my local dealers. Of course, my local dealers are telling me I shouldn't buy from them because the quality won't be as good, I'll probably get a lot of short pieces, etc., etc. They also told me that the warranty would be from Brazilian Direct rather than the manufacturer, which is a disadvantage.

Hi Todd,
My name is Glenn Wachocki, owner of Carpet 4 Less in Michigan. Have you read the reviews from others who have shopped with Brazilian Direct? This may be a good place to start. You could even try and contact some of the reviewers and ask them about how happy they are with their floors today. What kind of problems they've had, how BD worked with them, etc.

Your local guys (as long as they're reputable), are going to be much more responsive to you than an online distributor. Many online companies these days outsource everything including their customer service. Not good, since these people have a very limited understanding of the product. I always recommend going with a local guy if you can. Not only will you get better service, but you're supporting your community. If you have any questions, feel freeto contact me through my website:

Best of luck!
