we just had to replace our sewage in the front yard and had to dig it all up. now it looks like this dirt pile and then on the side of the house and in the back end of the house was weeds. we removed them and just want grass to grow now, so it will not look so ugly. we live is Pennsylvania and it is about 54 during the day and 30 at night right now. please if any could help us that would be great.

Fall is the time when nature drops grass seed. No reason why you can't do the same.

The seed will remain dormant until you get several days where the temp is in the high 60's or warmer.

Second best time to sow new grass seed is mid-winter. First is early fall.
