I've heard a lot about not having wood in contact with basement walls. I'm going with steel studs over foam against the wall and wondered if it's OK to have a treated wood bottom plate to attach the steel as a thermal barrier since I hear steel will transmit the cold of whatever it's in contact with. Maybe it's overkill since the floor never gets really cold. Another option would be to put a thin layer of plastic that you see between block and and the sill plate between the bottom steel track and the floor?
