Hi Bob, looking to take down an old Trex deck, place it with a combination of stone and another type of composite wood, and want to make a lovely prayer garden for my loving son Jason who entered God's heaven July 19, 2011, and I also want to install a hot tub and fix a BBQ area.

My question is this, who am I looking for to do this work, a landscaper, a deck builder, one who does both? I had a landscaper builder here and I could buy a new house with the price he gave me. Now I am not sure who I should be looking for to do this work. I live in Huntington New York, can you make any suggestions.

I have a big back yard and I back over 1100 acres of horse trails, so I want something that looks natural and blends in with the area, however, I do not want to take out a second mortgage to pay it off.

Hope you get this message and will be able to get back to me. I have so much work that has to be done around my home. I am recently divorced and my x left me with a mess, can you help.
Thanks, Joan

Thanks for your question,
With a combination of the stone work and composite material with a prayer garden I would recommend to look for a landscape company that offers outdoor living designs.
Something like the design you are looking for will require a lot of planning and detail, if you sub out each trade it will be a lot of management and maybe cost you more as well.

I hope this help.

If you want to save some money then you could do the garden part yourself. If you don't have the right tools then it is possible to rent them for a period of time. My mom rented garden tools when she was getting her vegetable garden started out back. I hope you get the results you want!
