Fixing plaster wall around recessed medicine cabinet
Hi there, I've been dealing with a bit of a nightmare bathroom renovation that has taken a turn from hiring a very unqualified "professional" fo firing him and taking the reins myself. my issue is patching the gap between the plaster walls and the newly installed recessed medicine cabinet. The mirror has been framed in and the wall above is plaster with about an inch gap between the surface of the mirror is and the current plaster. The bottom and side walls were drywalled but because the "contractor" did such a lousy job I've removed that and am starting from scratch.... He literally didn't tape the drywall, just threw a much of mud sloppily on there and called it a day. I'm hoping there is a way I can repair the plaster without tearing the rest of the wall down and having to remove the cabinet.... Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
