I have an interior French drain in my basement. I recently pulled wallboard off wall and noticed water running down the cement wall and going into French drain. Problem is where water is coming in at top of wall where there is a slab of wood along the top. it appears to be damp and I am concerned about attracting termites. Should I replace it and if so what is the best way so that it will continue to allow water to come in. See photo uploaded.
