Hello hello.

I just had marble floors installed in two bathrooms, and the marble floor now sits about 1/4 inch, or a bit less, above the top of the old flange. I have been told that I can use one wax ring on the flange and use another wax ring cut in half on top of that one. I have also been told to put in new higher flanges, or use a product called expand a flange. Does the wax ring method work well? Because the tiolets are going to be sitting on marble, do I need to put anything between the toliet bottom and marble floor? Someone told me Plaster of Paris. Why would this be needed or used? The floors are level. If I have never set a toilet before is it wise to just hire a plumber?

Thank you for you input.
