I have central air through the forced air ducts for the heating system and it is currently leaking onto my basement floor from the 'furnace' unit. I looked inside and it was wet in a few places but I couldn't locate the exact cause. Any ideas? Also, although the basement is freezing, the top floor is stifling, even though there is cool air coming out of the vents up there. What can I do about this? Last thing...may be a 'stupid' question, but does the furnace still need to be in the 'on' position in order to run the blower for the air or is that on a different switch? Thanks for any help!!
