I have a kitchen with a wall that all visible areas around the cabinets is covered with a "fake brick" or at least I think it is. First how thick is it? And secondly is it wise or recommended to remove it? And how is it done? I am planning on remodeling my kitchen and I exploring ideas. Please help. Thanks

Z-brick is about 1/2-1 inch thick. We removed it by chiseling it off. There was minimal wall damage that was easily fixed by a little putty and a can or two of spray texture.
