well: i need some serious help.... i visited my local hardware store's paint department, and have been given bad information. My current basement floor has a "BEHR" oil based paint applied to the floor. Through a recommendation from my local hardware store, I have been given a "BEHR" porch and floor acrylic paint in which i painted over the entire floor.... needless to say it is not sticking... i can peel it off with my finger... but not that easily... the last thing that i want to do is scrape the floor off.... is there any other remedy??? can i use something else to adhere this to the floor??? helP!!!

I hate to be bearer of bad news but the only way to fix this is to scrape off the latex as there is no paint that will soak through one layer to adhere to another. If you don't get all of the latex off if will let loose at a later date and take what ever is over it off as well.
Sorry for the bad news.

When you are scraping this off now realise that before this will really adhere it will take up to a month so if you are picking at it 3 days after of course it will.Let it set and then see what happens.Give it time to cure before doing anything.
