squeeking hardwood floor

we have a fairly new (3yr old) house with real hardwood floors in the kitchen. over the past year the has started to squeek more than they should. does anyone know of a way to get this under control. i considered going into the crawl space under the house and useing 1 1/4" screws up threw the 3/4" subfloor and into the 3/4" flooring to pull it down tight. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
