I have a number of white pine trees on my property that have died either from lack of water or too much water. They are still standing. Can I use them for flooring and what is the correct way to make sure they are dry enough for cutting? Do I have them cut into planks before drying and if so, what should I allow for warpage and shrinkage The trees are about 10 to 14 inches in diameter with bark. Or are they too small to use to make wood flooring?
