I recently purchased some bedroom furniture from a place called "Storehouse Furniture" (their "Hampton" collection). It is made of domestic hardwood and walnut veneers with a dark brown (almost black) stain.

The company recommends cleaning with a just a cloth...but that does nothing but move the dust around! Pledge, Old English and other furniture polishes leave streaks. I've found Endust works somewhat better -- but not much.

Can anyone out there recommend a good cleaning product for furniture with a dark stain that won't streak or take off the stain, and is safe and (relatively) non-toxic?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Does this have a sealer on top of it?
If so then try a test spot on an area with a damp rag with paint thinner on it.A sealer will seal off the stain from getting damaged but like said try a test spot 1st.
