I am in the process of buying a 1970's house whose kitchen does not have an opening for a built in dishwasher. Someone I know told me they think that the cabinet next to the sink could be removed to make room for a dishwasher, but I was just curious if that's realistic or not. If the countertop has to come out for this that's not a problem cause I'm going to replace it anyway. Any information that you can provide on this subject will be greatly appreciated.
