I have a toilet in my new apartment and there is very little water in the bowl. When I flush it works ok but very little water stays in the bowl! I have checked the overflow tube and the hose that drains water into it and all that stuff works as it should. It would be nice to have more water in the bowl, for obvious reasons.

Most likely the bowl is designed that way for a 1.6 gal. water saving toilet.

Thanks Plumber Tom. I noticed on the toilet that it lists it as l.6 gal, so I'll assume that that is the reason for low water level. Bill

Just a thought here Bill. I used to deal with a supply house that only sold Gerber toilets. They have the telltale blue piece of crap flapper in the tank. You can alway's try to change out the flapper with a Corky (name brand) flapper and see if you notice a difference. Tom
