Hello,

I am having a professional painter paint the interior of my home in the next few weeks. I have seen different paint brands such as Behr, Ralph Lauren, etc... I would like to have "textured" walls in some of the rooms and like Ralph Lauren's "Linen" look - but I want to make sure that I buy a good product for the painter - so any advice from knowledgable people would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
Karla

Just remember that once you go with textured walls you have to live with it for pretty much ever.
You should call the Ralph Lauren help line to see what is involved with appling their products as if not done correctly it can be a nightmare. I have found out that the stores selling it for the most part do have a clue about proper application, another reason why you do not buy paint from home centers.

Hi! Because you are hiring a professional painter, I would check first with him, what he likes the most and what finishes he is confortable with. Usually, painters work with one or two suppliers and he can have rebates from them, so it might be economical for you to use the paint that he works with every day. Good luck!
