My hot shower water is inconsistent. From time to time after running it for 5 mins or so it will begin to get cool. This does not occur all of the time. What could be the cause?

We have experienced a similar situation. Our heating guy thinks it may be the thermostat not working properly on the hot water maker. Also, if your hot water maker is tied into a boiler that heats other rooms - such as an addition, you may need an Argo priority system that we will prioritize the hot water instead of the heat while in the shower. Check with your plumber or heating specialist.
