I am in the position that I installed new tile in my kitchen and now the door grinds the tiles closest to the ing side.

I plan on shaving 1/16 inch off that half of the bottom of the door and replace the door sweep. My threshold can't be raised easily due to being part of the door frame assembly.

So, I am thinking of getting one of the MD automatic door sweeps that either slide up or flip up when the door is opened, and seal tightly when the door is shut.

Anyone have any opinions of the longevity or usefullness of these sweeps? thanks.

no reply, oh well.

I ordered 3 of them from Energy Federation. If I don't want or need all three, I guess they will go on ebay or my Mom's house. Shipping only went up $.90 or so when adding another, so what the heck, order enough for all the doors.
